History of Legislation

With references of Government Administration select committee, the gambling draft law was brought to parliament as in control Gambling bill. In April 2002, public submissions on draft law were closed and a report was represented by the committee on 19 November 2002 to parliament.

On 12 August 2003 second reading took place and it was renamed, Gambling Bill. On 9 September the bill passed through committee stage and on 11 September third and final reading was done. On 18 September it acquired Royal assent and it came to be the Gambling Act 2003.
